Supercharger leaking oil??

I was under my car this past weekend installing the J&S and a few other things and I noticed what looked like motor oil on the bottom of the charger. I thought these things are suppposed to be "sealed for life?"
Is this true or do you have to change the oil inside the supercharger? JR says no but my Dad has an Eaton charger on his Buick and the factory recommends replacing the oil every 20,000 miles or so.

I had found the same thing about a month after the installation. I checked all over for a possible oil leak (I keep a clean engine) but found none. It has not reoccured since. I assumed that it came from the blower.
I'm going to guess that the blower vanes have bearings on each end in the vac/pres chamber, and the pulley/drive gear has bearings on each end in the gear drive chamber. Its the bearings of the gear drive, on the pulley end, that I'm concerned about. I checked them last month, all seems OK.
P.S. The bearings I'm more concerned about are on the alternator. They now have 2 belts attached, or twice the force on them than before.

I beleive the Eaton blower that JR uses has sealed bearings that should last @ 100,000 miles before they need service. Check out the FAQ at jacksonracing.com, I remember something about it there.

The only time I had an oil leak that appeared to come from the SC was when the intake manifold cracked. Check around where it is attached to the blower, particularly at the rear of the manifold on the drivers side. (My crack extended from the bolt in that corner) The oil leak is what alerted me to the fact that the manifold had, indeed, cracked.
